    Information about using the oven:

    • Fire up with wood or charcoal right out of the box. Lump wood charcoal helps to sustain the temperature whilst kindling gives the oven the high burst of heat needed for a speedy cook.
    • The pizza oven also works with gas, but the Ooni Gas Burner is not included in this loan.
    • Reaches 500°C ( 950°F) in 15 minutes, for fresh stone-baked pizza in just 60 seconds.
    • It may go without saying but moving the pizza oven when hot is dangerous so make sure you place it on solid surface, away from anything that will be damaged by the heat and in a place safe from the reach of children or animals.
    • Light weight and portable at just 12kg (26.4lb), with all the power of a large pizza oven
    • If you're unsure about how to make pizza dough, sauce of need inspiration for toppings, we recommend Ooni's library of recipes here. They also suggest flame grilling other dishes alongside your pizza!!

    Cleaning and Maintenance:

    • Bring back the oven clean, a fee will be applied if GTL is required to clean it.
    • DO NOT clean the stone with water. Avoid the stone from getting wet as it is porous and will absorb moisture resulting in it cracking when heated.
    • It is normal for the stone to change colour after being used.
    • Any excess flour or food can be brushed off.
    • If you have stubborn burnt on bits Ooni advise running then oven hot as this will help to burn off the residue left on the stone - it's like a self-cleaning option. Flipping the stone and using the clean side is also an option as the underside will 'self clean' during use.
    • The stone is fragile, transport it outside of the oven and remove it cautiously.
    • A dry cloth or soap and water can be used to wipe down the stainless steel. DO NOT use abrasive cleaners or scourers.

Suggested PPE: Heat protective clothing especially around the arms and hands.
